FAQ
Do you travel for photoshoots?
Yes! I am based out of Lethbridge, Alberta, but am willing to travel! My travel fees are:
- 0-25 km from Lethbridge is included
- 26-60 km is an additional $50
- 61-120 is an additional $100
- 121-200 is an additional $175
How will we receive our photos?
You will receive a folder from Pixieset with all of the images from the session, where you will be able to choose the set amount of images in the package you purchased. Once the images are edited, you will then receive another folder where you will be able to download them in high resolution to print.
Do you retouch the images?
I have my own editing style which you are able to see from my photos. I will do basic retouching such as grass on clothes, distracting items etc. If you have a specific request, please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate them.
What should we wear?
This is totally dependent on the type of session, but for a general rule of thumb, I suggest wearing neutral colors. Black, browns, white, beige, earth tones. Nothing really bright, no loud patterns, and no logos. Don't wear anything uncomfortable, and don't wear anything that isn't "you"!
When are sessions normally held?
For outdoor sessions, my favorite time is during golden hour, as the sun is setting, or right as the sun is rising, as this is the best and most flattering lighting. I can be available all times of the day, though I will be picky about location, as the sun will need to be behind you (so your not squinting). Indoor sessions, such as newborn sessions, can be when it works best for your schedule! Think - when is my baby most fussy - and let's book your session around that time! haha In my years of working with newborns, I find morning is the optimal time.
How far in advance do you book?
If you are looking to book during busy seasons (summer and fall) inquiring in advance is recommended as my schedule can fill up quickly. If you know you are interested in having me take your newborn photos, inquiring sooner rather than later is also recommended, though I will always do my best to accommodate you, even if last minute!
Do you bring props or outfits?
I do not bring any articles to your session - I will however use or recommend items in your home that we can utilize, such as a wicker basket, a special stuffed animal, or an item that is important to your family.
What if I want to purchase more than one session, other than the Baby's First year?
Combine any two sessions and receive 15% off of the total price.
What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
Life happens, I get it. If for any reason you need to cancel our session, I ask that you give me as much notice as possible. I do not offer a refund on cancellations, but you are always welcome to reschedule!
Do you offer prints or albums?
Yes! I’ve partnered with a trusted professional lab, ZNO, to give you access to high-quality prints, canvases, albums and announcement cards—at exclusive client-only pricing. If you’d prefer a more hands-off experience, I’m happy to design and order your album for you for an additional fee.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes! Gift certificates are available and make a meaningful gift for expecting parents or new families.
